About Aestone

THE AESTONE STORY

Aestone is founded on the vision of giving extraordinary ceramics a platform. Far more than common everyday utensils, ceramics are an expression of style and worldwide cultural heritage - epitomising a true art form. Thousands of years old, yet still as modern and multi facetted as ever.

The interplay of fire, colours and shapes creates unique compositions with lasting value and distinct character. Fragile yet enduring, elegant yet raw, playful yet solid: each artist has their own style, each manufacturer their unique signature technique, giving every object within Aestone’s portfolio its own story.

At Aestone we celebrate luxury in the truest sense. Authentic and unparalleled, a tribute to individuality opposed to uniformity - our products embody the highest level of quality and craftsmanship. Explore impressive ceramic objects for daily use, selected works of art and beloved pieces with identity. Each item is handcrafted by tradition honouring manufacturers, established artists or promising newcomers.

About Aestone

THE FACE BEHIND AESTONE

Aestone founder Alexa Schilz was born in the 12th generation of a family manufacture crafting salt-glazed stoneware. Her work for international luxury and fashion brands took her on an exciting treasure hunt for inspiration, expertise and creative ideas in places all around the world. Combining her love for arts, craftsmanship and the family heritage with her passion for design and travel, she started seeking out artists and potters to create an unparalleled portfolio of ceramics. The result: in 2016 she launched Aestone with a collection of well-curated objects available online and offline on selected occasions. “Everything Aestone sells is handmade, many objects are one of a kind. I find it fascinating, how a sound mix of ceramics enriches a breakfast table or how an artisanal vessel lights up a space and gives it an identity. When a new delivery arrives at my office, my collector’s heart often skips a beat, knowing that eventually I will have to send one piece after the other off to a new home.”
